The Circle G Foundation - Mission Statement

To explore all opportunities to protect and preserve the elements at the Circle G Ranch connected to Elvis’ tenure at the property.  To have his connection with the City of Horn Lake celebrated and commemorated and to continue his charitable and humanitarian legacy - his Circle G Ranch acting as our inspirational beacon.

The Circle G Foundation Annual Awards

Winners announced May 11 2024

At our Annual UK Fundraising event we were delighted to announce the winners of our Annual Awards. We are delighted to introduce Emily Sullivan, the winner of our Elvis Presley Rising Sun Memorial Award 2024. Emily is a truly inspiring young lady. Emily has benefited from equine therapy which has changed her life….and all because she loves Elvis and saw a documentary about his love of horses. That was enough to inspire Emily and she has worked so hard and has achieved amazing things that have improved the quality of her life on so many levels. Sadly (in the best award ceremony tradition) Emily could not be with us to accept her award on Saturday night but her award will be sent to her in the USA and we will post pictures of her with it as soon as we have them. Congratulations Emily and thank you for loving Elvis

Congratulations to Christine Frain the winner of our Gary Pepper Memorial Award 2024 ; a lady who despite her own health issues is a regular volunteer at a Dementia and Alzheimer’s support group. We’ve been told she lifts everyone’s spirits with her infectious personality - as you can see from this picture from our fundraising event on Saturday. Christine truly embodies the qualities we aspire to find in the winners of our Gary Pepper Memorial Award…which recognises an individual who has shown the true Elvis spirit, whether that be someone battling against adversity, striving and succeeding against the odds or an individual who has made another persons life better by their kindness. Many congratulations Christine from all of us at The Circle G Foundation.

At our Fundraiser on Sat 11th May, we also presented a special award…..The Circle G Foundation If I Can Dream Award 2024. This is given to an individual or organisation who we feel has contributed to society and who deserves special recognition.  This award goes to two ladies Marlene Chadwick and Sandra Ashcroft -Co Founders of Happy Timers. Their organisation enables people living with dementia and their carers to take a welcome break from day to day life, enjoy some mental stimulation and enter into activities. This not only reduces social isolation but helps people remain valued members of their community. They now have several groups running and have about 70 people attending. They have live music and a meal and have around 25 volunteers. Well done Marlene and Sandra….worthy winners of our Circle G Foundation If I Can Dream Award.

Because we received such great nominations for our awards we decided that we would also recognise 6 individuals by awarding them our Circle G Foundation Medals of Appreciation. These will be sent to the following worthy recipients. Beth Dixon in Memphis, Benjamin Price here in the U.K., Stephen Shutts in Nashville and Lyn Friel in Northern Ireland along with two ladies who joined us on Saturday night at our fundraising event Anne Foy and Marie Harris

PLEASE SIGN OUR PETITION

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING - AND PLAY YOUR PART IN SAVING THE CIRCLE G RANCH.  TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

The Circle G Ranch, a former residence of Elvis Presley.  The place where he spent a good portion of his honeymoon. A place where he enjoyed the peace and freedom not afforded him elsewhere.

Despite having been listed on The National Register Of Historic Sites in 2019, this significant historic property is in imminent danger of being lost due to the neglect and inaction of the current owners since 2014.

Their lack of care is not only an insult to Elvis and his legacy but is also an insult his fans, the City of Horn Lake and to the great State of Mississippi.

We must urgently secure the future of the ranch; repair, protect and preserve the elements that have a direct link with Elvis’ tenure.

Despite persistent outreach by The Circle G Foundation and potential buyers, the owners have been unresponsive and any promises they have made have been broken and the ranch’s future remains in jeopardy and it is teetering on the brink of oblivion.

There is simply too much at stake to allow the owners to determine its fate.

ELVIS FANS…DO NOT SIT THERE AND SIMPLY CRY THST IT IS A SHAME!  THAT IS POINTLESS!

JOIN US AND HELP PLAY YOUR PART….LET’S SHOW THE WORLD HOW MUCH WE LOVE ELVIS

This petition will urge the Governor and State of Mississippi to act now to take proactive steps to protect this property which already recognised to be of historic significance

The Circle G Foundation Flowers January 2024

One arrangement for Elvis - one for Lisa Marie

The Circle G Foundation Management Team sent two floral displays for Birthday week Jan 2024. One to commemorate Elvis's 89th birthday and one to mark the one year anniversary of Lisa's passing.

We were thrilled that both displays got such prominent placement.  A big thank you to all those who sent us pictures of our flowers and thank you to Marlowe and her team at Pughs Florists Memphis for once again doing such a wonderful job for us.

Our Patron

We are proud to announce.....

Elvis’ first cousin Donna Presley has graciously accepted our invitation to become the Patron of The Circle G Foundation. Donna has been a long time supporter of our cause and has been a wonderful advocate for what we are working to do in Elvis’ name.

Donna is one of the remaining blood relatives who actually lived on the ranch during Elvis’ ownership and as such she is perfectly placed to understand how important it is to commemorate Elvis’ time there. Donna was present at our Dedication of the State Historic Marker we sponsored at the ranch in September 2021 and has continued to be a great support to us.

Nominated Causes 2023 -24

We are delighted to announce that we will be focusing our charitable collections for 2023 - 2024 on charities and organisations working with and supporting people with dementia and their families

.  Sadly most of us know someone with this terrible condition.  During the coming months we will promote the work they do and also look at charities and organisations that are doing such valuable work in this field.

Elvis Oscar Party Night Fundraiser.

March 25 2023

We had a wonderful and successful evening at our fundraising event.  Guests entered into the glamorous spirit of the evening and walked the red carpet and enjoyed a wonderful evening.  We raised over £1000 for charity in the auction and the proceeds from the auction will mainly go to our nominated charity for 2022 Heartland Hands given in Elvis' name and a small donation will go to Papyrus - suicide prevention charity and given in both Elvis' and Lisa's name.

What’s next?

The campaign continues…….

Obviously when our campaign to save Elvis’ Circle G Ranch began in 2010 we had no idea that the journey would be such a difficult one.  We have encountered problems, delays and let downs along the way BUT WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP.

We continue to explore all avenues and we do have plans that we will be pursuing during 2024 and beyond

Elvis inspires us.

We are first and foremost Elvis fans, just like you, and as such we will do all we can to ensure his time at the ranch, which was so important at a very significant period in his life, is not allowed to be forgotten.

Please keep checking back for updates……

A State Historic Marker

September 8 2021

We are so very proud that on Sept 8 2021 we were able to erect a Mississippi State Historic Marker at Elvis’ Circle G Ranch.  This was made possible by the love and support of Elvis’ fans from around the world.  The dedication ceremony was attended by The Mayor Of Horn Lake and Elvis’ first cousin Donna Presley.

We hope this is just the beginning……..

This is the link to our video that gives you more info on the ranch and The Circle G Foundation and features the dedication ceremony on Sept 8 2021

15 April 2023

Dear The Circle G Foundation,

Thank you so much for raising an amazing £200.00 with the four additional items your Foundation added in memory of Lisa Marie and Benjamin Keough to the Elvis Oscar Night Party Auction in support of PAPYRUS! We are so grateful for all the hard work you have put into your fundraising for this event.

In 2022, 54% of people who contacted our helpline, HOPELINEUK, were young people with thoughts of suicide, donations like yours help pay for our trained advisers to be there for these young people in their moment of need – keeping them safe and saving their lives.

PAPYRUS is dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people. We believe that no young person should have to struggle alone with thoughts of suicide. Your generosity helps us to do this, not only through HOPELINEUK but through our training and community work equipping young people, their families and local communities to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviour; to prevent, to intervene, and to encourage self-care.

Thank you so much once again for supporting PAPYRUS, if there’s anything further, we can do to help, please do not hesitate to get back in touch.

With best wishes,

Kate Foley

In Memory of Elvis...for Hawaii

Donated to The Red Cross for the Hawaiian Relief Fund

The Circle G Foundation is proud to have donated to The Red Cross to benefit the Hawaiian Relief Fund and given in the hame of Elvis Presley.

We all know how much Elvis loved Hawaii and we are certain he would have been one of the very first to step up to help following the disaster in 2023.

Giving in Elvis’ name

The Circle G Foundation is very proud to continue Elvis’ charitable legacy by making donations to good causes in Elvis’ name.

Over the years The Circle G Foundation has donated to

St Jude’s Research Hospital for Children (Memphis)

Cancer Research

Heart Research

Last year our donation was to the MAP Crohns charity which is funding research into the treatment and prevention of Crohns.

There is an Elvis connection with the Crohns MAP vaccine as the triplets of Elvis’ good friend, the late Richard Davis’ suffer from the debilitating Crohns.
